post 7 Football High

We watched a video in class called "football High". I' am going to write about two subjects and the countermeasures football programs have in place to lower these types of injury's. The first one being heat strokes are heat exhaustion. In the video we watched it talked about two boys both having a heat stroke and being rushed to the hospital. With one boy the school had a trainer that new what to do in this situation, and the other school just had coaches that really didn't know what to do. Schools are having trainers present for practices and for games incase of something like this happening or injury's. The second one I'm going to talk about is concussions that players get from taking big hits to the head. They are trying to improve the football helmets that the players wear buy putting high tech impact gels and padding inside to protect form hits that are damaging to the head and brain.

  1. You bring up 2 good points from the video. I agree with the the helmets becoming safer, but I also think that they should start teaching proper tackling techniques and teach kids that violence in football can lead to injuries down the line. I also think that trainers should be a necessity when it comes to football programs, just like a coach.
